Implementation Plan Overview and Expected Outcomes
Implementation Plan
The implementation plan outlines a phased approach for integrating smart energy solutions across campuses, with a focus on feasibility, pilot expansion, and full-scale rollout. This will drive significant energy savings, emission reductions, and enhanced sustainability credentials.
Phase 1 (2025):
Feasibility & Stakeholder Engagement
- Allocate $50k for feasibility studies and workshops with Facilities Management.
- Pilot IoT sensors in Newnham’s STEM buildings.
Phase 2 (2026):
Pilot Expansion
- Install SEOF in 10 buildings at Newnham Campus.
- Train staff on real-time dashboards.
Phase 3 (2027):
Full Rollout
- Expand to 50% of campuses (King, Markham, and Newnham).
- Integrate solar energy data into the SEOF system.
Expected Outcomes
- Energy Savings: 35% reduction by 2027, saving $1.2M over 10 years.
- Emission Reductions: 1,200 MTCO₂e annually (Seneca College, 2024).
- STARS Compliance: Strengthen Seneca’s Gold rating through renewable integration (AASHE, 2023).
